No console messages after ramdisk is loaded.

Bug Description

Running ec2-get-console-output I dont see the regular boot messages (ie syslog starting, ssh starting etc) after you get the output of dmesg. This is probably not having a xvc0.conf in the /etc/init directory on the ec2 images.
