DRI is there, but it's X that really needs to load it. Attach the output of dmesg, and /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Are you actually running Xorg? There's nothing in the Xorg.0.log file you attached.

Woops, for some reason, lp gave me an empty file the first time I tried to load it.

Anyway, I see that drm is loading. For some reason the kernel modules aren't loaded for you though. Try loading these modules, then restart gdm/X:

sudo modprobe drm
sudo modprobe agpgart
sudo modprobe uninorth_agp
sudo modprobe r128
(and maybe)
sudo modprobe radeon

Reattach dmesg and Xorg.0.log after doing this. You can make this permanent across reboots by adding the module names only to /etc/modules
