Bug Description
As I understand it the dvb drivers are part of the kernel and the lastest Dapper Kernel uses 2..6.15.x
Under Dapper the Hauppauge HVR 1100 (Digital TV card) is not recognised, and no dvb frontend0 is created
However I have tested 4 other distrobutions using the same kernel and they all detect it out of the box (Kororaa & RR4 <both gentoo based>, OpenSuSE10.1, Fedora Core 5)
So it seems to me their might be a bug in the implementation of the detection and creation of the device, or that a newer build of v4l2 needs to be implemented. This is the MOST common TV card in use in the UK now as it is one of only a few to support both digital and analogue transmission (the 1300 model being another).
Does this problem exist on an updated Dapper install, or when using the latest Edgy beta? Thank you for your feedback.
