Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Ubuntu 9.04 - the Jaunty Jackalope - released in April 2009
firefox - 3.0 3.0.14+build2+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1

When I install or uninstall an add-on it presents the message "This add-on will be installed when Firefox is restarted." I expected it to.

This did not happen. The message remains as though firefox never restarted, attempts to abort are met with little success. I've restarted many times and the problem has persisted for a few weeks. I'm hoping a system change may fix the problem, like switching to an older version of firefox and back, but I don't know how to do that yet with Ubuntu. Good luck.
