Bug Description

If you have any LVM volumes, they will be started (but not mounted) by the lvm init script. When repartitioning, the kernel refuses to re-read the partition table (due to the disk being busy) and the install fails. I'll attach a debug log.

Same problem here... Trying to blow away an old Redhat install and the Kubuntu installer cannot cope...

This probably doesn't actually happen in practice any more because our live CD no longer installs the LVM tools by default, but the problem's still there in principle.
