Having to tap twice to open keyboard when entering a new task

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select New task - tap in the Task Name text box.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The keyboard should be opened. Instead you have to press twice to open the
keyboard.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Astrid V2.9.0 using T-Mobile G2 Touch (OS Version 1.5)

The keyboard should be opened but isn't. If you tap a little longer, you get the input option dialog.
Tapping twice as a workaround seems to work, though.

I have this problem too on an HTC Hero.

When clicking "New Task" I have to click "Summary/Task Name" twice to be able to enter text in that input field. Very annoying!

I agree with the above comments... I have MT3g (Cupcake 1.5) and installed this program, add a NEW task (even editing task), click on the Summary/Task Name field and the keyboard won't show up (you have to tap it twice as a work around)... Another weird behavior though, when creating/editing new task, is when you selected/typed into the Tags field first and go back and tap the Summary/Task Name, the keyboard will show up (in just one tap!)... Lastly, when the you're keyboard is up already to type in the Summary/Task Name and you hit the NEXT button on the right, it doesn't do anything... At least, this should go to the next field (tag name?) or tab, i dunno, but this needs to be checked and fixed as well...
