Bug Description
Binary package hint: dbus
After rebooting to the latest set of upstartified packages, dbus fails to start, which means hal, gdm, avahi-daemon, and network-manager also don't start, and I'm dropped to a login shell instead.
Attempting to start dbus by hand first gives me a message that it's already started (but it's not running). Restarting it eventually gets it running (it takes a *long* time to start for some reason), but does not trigger the other services to start up.
Other users are reporting the same problem on IRC.
