first time using software store:
"crash" notice occurred while installing 'calculator'.
The 'software store' window remained open and responsive
after the 'crash', and the list of installed software
now includes two instances of 'calculator'
-- each having the 'green check' overlaid.
Next (with the window still open after the above crash),
I tried installing 'update manager', which crashed
without installing anything, but the main window was still
open and responsive. Both of these failed installs
were from unchecked items in the 'installed software' category.
Once more, with the now twice 'crashed' "Software Store"
still running I got a successful install of '7-zip' from the
free software category.

Similar situation as omarly666 and B. da Silva experienced above. Ubuntu Software Store crashed, but application installed succesfully. Attached crash report. Let me know if you need additional information.

Seems to happen with any installable application in software-store. The software-store itself won't crash however and the application will also be installed.

Weird was however that if I closed the software-store afterwards, aptitude crashed and my Internet was gone :S
The last part might have been random.

First time using Software Store, I added 4 packages to be installed and got this error four times.

The GUI did not die and the packages installed correctly it seems.

FYI the packages were all schematic capture / simulation tools.

Thanks, I think this is caused by a race condition in the debconf.py module in aptdaemon.

It seems like start() is called sometimes before _hangup() is run (_hangup should be triggered by the self.socket.close() call in stop()).
