Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However your report is missing some information, may you please run pitivi as: PITIVI_DEBUG=*:5 GST_DEBUG=2 bin/pitivi > debug.log 2>&1 .
Compress that log file with gzip, bzip2, etc and attach it to the report?
Thanks in advance!.

How to reproduce :
 - Import a video , the videos I used are from a Canon PowerShot S3 IS camera; the video properties say : 640x480, Codec Motion JPEG, 30 fps
 - Place the video on the timeline
 - Cut the video in the middle
 - Delete the first part

On the status bar there is a message saying "One or more GStreamer errors has occured!" , clicking on the exclamation mark gives the following :

Problem:GStreamer encountered a general stream error.
Extra information:gstbasesrc.c(2550): gst_base_src_loop (): /GstPipeline:pipeline0/GstBin:bin0/GnlComposition:gnlcomposition0/GnlSource:gnlsource: VideoTestSourceFactory6/GstBin:bin8/GstVideoTestSrc:videotestsrc0:
streaming task paused, reason not-negotiated (-4)

It's now impossible to move the cursor , any action on the video will open an Apport message dialog leading to this bug and to #607554

You will find the requested debug log attached to the comment #3 on bug #607554

Today's update (0.13.5) seems to have fixed the problem.

Actually, it's not "supposed" to be fixed, it's not part of 0.13.5 and the upstream bug is still open. I'm not sure whether or not I should reopen this (downstream) bug, but make sure to test thoroughly if you can not reproduce it.
