Bug Description
To reproduce, set up an IMAP account for a server that doesn't support, say, LOGIN authentication, and configure kmail to use LOGIN authentication (I did this because I don't know what the server supports, and kmail's detection failed). Attempting to access the account results in an error saying the protocol is not supported by the server, followed by a login prompt, followed by the error again, ad infinitum. Clicking 'Cancel' on the login prompt has the same results. So does attempting to close it by clicking the X. While this is happening, other kontact/kmail windows (such as the configuration window, where this could be fixed) are hidden behind the main window, and won't accept focus or mouse/keyboard events even if you do something clever like move it to another desktop. The only way I could find out of this loop was to kill kontact.
Is this still an issue after the update yesterday?
