Is this still occurring for you with the latest CD (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/)? If so, can you please attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log to this bug report.

Thanks!

I try with daily-live current for 26 of September.

My result was (I do "Check disc for defects" option but no errors):

-With "Install Ubuntu" option the install crash. Image "install.jpg" attached.

-With the option "Try Ubuntu without any change to your computer" I get may screen flickers (around 100 on five minutes or so) and then the screen loads the desktop, but only the icons, dont gnome-panel and the full GUI for live cd.
See the flicker.avi and desktop.avi videos attached.

Does this occur with the absolute latest daily-live CD (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live)? Please note the date of the CD you tried when replying.

If you remove the "splash" parameter from the kernel command line when using the "Install Ubuntu" option, does the install boot? To do that, select a language at the CD boot menu, then move down to the "Install Ubuntu" option and hit F6. Hit escape to clear the menu that appears and then remove "splash" from the line that appears so the end of it reads something like "quiet --".

Thanks Angel!

Testing with 20 octuber daily-live.
-The live cd fail again with flicker.

I remove the splash from kernel command line. The installation loads until "Checking battery state... done." then falling back to a root terminal. I have the terminal, but I don't know to do for run or install.

The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Lucid Lynx. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
