Bug Description

Binary package hint: wine1.2

Sound in the latest version appears to bypass Pulseaudio's Alsa plugin completely - so much so that if you're, say, playing music via Rhythmbox then you can't run the 'test sound' function within Wine configure.

Running up 'Spotify' then fails.

Similarly if Wine has the Alsa layer, then all the pulseaudio audio output fails.

Note from Daniel Chen

'The "32-bit Wine on 64-bit host" issue is due to
libasound_module_conf_pulse.so not being shipped in ia32-libs or
lib32asound2-plugins.

In the short
term (Karmic), ia32-libs needs to stop Depending on
lib32asound2-plugins and just ship libasound2-plugins as it used to.'
