Bug Description

Using Ubuntu 9.04 x64, x32. I don't know how where to read samba version.
Samba is installed, works OK.

When Ubuntu is started:
     smbclient -L localhost -U%
shows all the shares I configured in smb.conf
     smbclient -L 192.168.0.14 -U%
returns the error message: failed (Error NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED). NOTE: the IP is the IP of the machine itself (not a remote machine).

If I run manually sudo /etc/init.d/samba restart
Then samba is working OK. This bug occurs on all machines, in spite the fact that samba service is started in Administration / Services (and also via the rcconf tool).

samba service must start and be responsive to remote access (of the local LAN) automatically and without requiring the manual restart.

Please attach the output of /var/log/samba/log.smbd when this happens.

Thanks
