Bug Description

Binary package hint: xkeyboard-config

Bug #40153 in xserver-xorg-input-evdev will hopefully be fixed by including the CVS version in Dapper. If that happens then a line with "<LSGT> = 94;" should be added to /etc/X11/xkb/keycodes/evdev which is for the "less greater bar"-key on several european layouts. This fix is also in upstream CVS.

The version of xserver-xorg-input-evdev currently in Dapper is unaffected by the missing key as it is broken and don't support xkeyboard at all.

This bug now affects current Dapper as a new version of
xserver-xorg-input-evdev (1.1.2-0ubuntu1) has been included.

Sorry about the double post. I submitted the first one by mail, later when
nothing happened for 23 hours I sent the same thing through the web
interface. But now the first one seems to have made it after all.

The original bug is also duplicated. I have no idea how that happened, perhaps
this bug tracker don't like me :-)

xkeyboard-config (0.8-7) dapper; urgency=low

  * Grab Kurdish keymaps from upstream. Malone: #30361
  * Nuke /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/pc if it's a directory. This is
    kinda-wrong, but leaving it around is worse. Malone #23083.
  * Add Spanish translation from upstream CVS. Malone #22424
  * Add LSGT to keycodes/evdev. Malone: #42846
  * Remove Daniel from maintainer field in control file.

Hi, after some configuration I found this:

The kde keyboard module messes with my keyboard, if I activate it the arrow keys and the insert/del/pg.up/etc keys stop working. Only deactivating it and restarting kde solves the problem.

The weird thing is that, if I turn the kde module off, my keyboard doesn't give me any problem except this: the up arrow key doesn't work.

xev output when I press that key is this:

FocusOut event, serial 31, synthetic NO, window 0x1400001,
    mode NotifyGrab, detail NotifyAncestor

FocusIn event, serial 31, synthetic NO, window 0x1400001,

Does anyone have any idea of what is the problem?
