Standing FF Exception request for arora

As per our discussions at UDS, we intended to switch to arora as default browser, but only if certain criteria were met. This decision was to be deferred as late as possible, to ensure that the arora developers had sufficient time to attempt to implement the changes and additions we would require to make arora the default browser in Kubuntu Karmic.

At this point in time, they are close to implementing what we would require in order to make an informed decision. However, as we get closer to the final release, we now would require a FFe for each update to have it included for Karmic.

I am requesting that we initiate a standing FFe for arora to ensure we are able to promptly get the package updates into Karmic, and allow us to further test that the browser could meet our requirements as a default browser.

Is this still being considered? It's quite late for such a change in karmic if it hasn't happened yet.

It was ok'd (AFAIK) by Riddell.

Ah... I think you mean the ref to changing the default browser.. no. we decided to stay with Konqueror. However, the FFe request was desired to be kept open, for last minute fixes to Arora as it is an excellent alternative to konqueror, even if not the default.
