Bug Description

When I attempt to install Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha 5 (or UNR 9.10) on my Eee PC the installer works fine.

Although when I choose to manually partition my hard drive (on the 5th page of the installer I believe)
It loads, as in checks my system for all the possible partitions, then the screen does not change.
I still see the screen where I have to choose between installing them side by side or installing it on the whole hard drive...

But if I try to click Next again, so that I can finally get to the manual partition page, it says I have not assigned a "/" directory for my installation, it is as if the installer changes the page correctly although I am unable to see it.

This happened several times with several copies of the UNR 9.10 alpha 5 and with Ubuntu 9.10 alpha 5

My Eee PC is a 900 HA

Could you (Soapy.Illusion only; anyone else should file a separate bug) start up the live CD again, run 'ubiquity --debug' from a terminal, reproduce this bug, and then *before rebooting* run 'apport-collect 427875' to attach log files to this bug? At the moment I can't tell exactly what was going on.

Since you reported this against a development version of Xubuntu Karmic, we are closing this report. If this can be reproduced using the final version of Xubuntu 9.10, please comment and change the status to 'new' in the yellow line.
