I haven't finished looking at the code itself yet, but I will note two things. One, Ubuntu still doesn't have a bug subscriber for this.

Two, upstream actually does have an automated test suite (gdata/tests) that isn't being run, but should be. As a bonus, it currently fails. I've filed a debian bug about it: #546798.

I'll finish looking at the code in the meantime.

For the code itself, it looks OK to me. XML via libxml, HTTP via libsoup. I didn't see any glaringly bad code (actually the code looked nice and well-documented). The debian packaging looks nice and simple. Has an active maintainership in debian and upstream (though, it's a pretty young library so that's not a surprise).

Nice to see the small and non-critical list of upstream bugs, though again it's pretty new and probably doesn't have a million users queuing up to report bugs.

So the only issues is the trivial matter of a bug subscriber and the more meaty issue of the ignored test suite. In the meantime, I'll pass off to Kees for a security eye.

Thanks Michael for the extensive review! I had a quick look at the code, it uses glib, no weird allocation constructs, and generally looks fairly clean to me. Michael sent the bug report to Debian (about the test suite), that's sufficient for me.

Approved and promoted.

With this, we can demote python-gdata again (once totem switches over).
