bind9 fails to start on boot

Bug Description

bind9 fails to start automatically on boot. /etc/rc2.d/S15bind9 exists. It starts perfectly when I open a terminal and say sudo /etc/init.d/bind9 start . I saw no errors in syslog.

Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

bind9:

As of about 5 minutes ago, all packages up to date, yes, it does.

For what it's worth, the only message in syslog from boot that mentions
named is:

Oct 7 11:15:08 centauri kernel: [ 743.391727] type=1505
audit(1254932103.777:9): operation="profile_load" name="/usr/sbin/named"
name2="default" pid=2618

There's absolutely nothing else after the messages it emits shutting down.

Nothing until I start named manually. Just complaints from ddclient,
ntpdate, and ntpd_initres about inability to resolve hostnames.

Sorry about that. I had to reinstall karmic fresh, for other reasons,
and the problem seems to be fixed. Thanks anyway!
