Bug Description

My CC apache process has been running for one week short of a month and has grown to 4.6GB virtual, 1.9GB resident. The trend in the system monitoring graphs suggests that the available virtual memory of the machine is declining at a fairly steady rate, which may further suggest a memory leak.

I see the same symptoms here. eucalyptus-cc has been running for a bit over a month now. That is also on jaunty amd64, eucalyptus-cc 1.5~bzr266-0ubuntu2.

Marking High priority; memory leaks suck.

Confirmed against Jaunty, since Etienne is seeing this too.

Incomplete against Karmic. We need to revisit this bug, and update the status as soon as we get to the point where we can verify that the issue exists, or is fixed.

Dan says there was a memory leak matching this description in Jaunty eucalyptus which was resolved in 1.5.2 and is definitely gone in 1.6
