Bug Description

Ubuntu Software Center does not show any information about the size of files and appliations and shows not how much space on my hard drive is still available. This is sometimes a problem if you want to download games or other applications and these games take a lot of space, no one knows ultimately how big this file is also in the "computer janitor", you should show how much a program or file on disk space occupies.

<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#software-item-screen>: "A software item screen should contain … Text describing the total size of the item: * if it is not installed, “Total size: {X} to download, {Y} when installed ({Z} available)”, where X is the download size including not-yet-installed dependencies, Y is the installed size including not-yet-installed dependencies, and Z = the amount of space free on the partition where the software would be installed;
* if it is already installed, “Total size: {Y} on disk ({Z} available)”."

Hi!

Its really bad issue. In countries with very slow or expensive connections it could create a serious problem to the user.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install , that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project.

this bug includes a feature that is not in the software
For further info about papercuts criteria , pls read > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.
