Bug Description

No sound in all my AVI movies.
I see only picture.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'gstreamer'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.

Please make sure you have all gstreamer plugins installed.

avi is a container format and many different codecs can be used inside it. odds are that you don't have the required codec.

if after installing all the codecs you still can't hear the sound please run totem (or which ever mediaplayer you are using) in a terminal, reopen the bug report, and paste any message hear.
