AVR GCC should be configured with --with-dwarf2

Bug Description

Some tools, like AVR Studio, only support dwarf2 debugging format, and not stabs. It would be great if avr-gcc on Ubuntu could produce AVR Studio compatible ELF files by default.

Atmel's toolchain maintainer tells me that WinAVR is configured with --with-dwarf2 for this reason.

Haavard Skinnemoen,

Could you provide some link(s) about motivations for configuring gcc-avr in this way?

Thanks!
