Bug Description
First of all, Thank You for wicd.
At the time when wicd is working on connecting to the network (usually it is a couple of seconds while it works on getting an IP from the dhcp server), it should display an animated icon stating that it is connecting.
The tooltip displays that but the icon does not . The icon remains in the old disconnected state which gives a mis-leading view for a couple of seconds
I'm running wicd 1.6.2 on Debian.

I have something else to request for the icon, in the popup notification, it would be nice if in addition to signal strength it also listed current connection speed. Maybe an option to customize it?
