artsd has recently started consuming large portions of ram, which grows over time.

Apparently not artsd, artsd hogs the memory but only when kfireworks scrensaver has sound enabled.

I confirm, I've seen the bug in kubuntu 6.06 with same arts version, that was the reason to disable arts for me.
