Bug Description

I booted up Kubuntu Karmic Alpha 5 on my Gateway MT6840 Laptop using Intel 945 graphics and since 8.10 this has been occurring. When you boot up to an installed or bootable CD, the LCD Bright screen will pop up on the top left of the screen. Unfortunately, the majority of the time you cannot tell it is an LCD bright screen because it comes up all jumbled. What it looks like is if you were drawing on a painting program and made the background blue and then just took the spraybrush option and sprinkled some white over the blue background. I was hoping by Karmic this graphic problem would actually be fixed. Has anyone else experienced this or has this been looked into?
