Crashed during install

Bug Description

I was installing Ubuntu 6.06 beta2 on a new system, based on a biostar tforce6100 and an AMD64 3700+. SYSTEM CRASHED EARLY IN THE INSTALL. I believe all I had done is select the time zone and set the clock.
