Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

From gnome-terminal, running nautilus works fine, but when I tried to open a nautilus window as root user I got:

berkeley@be-just:~$ sudo nautilus

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

berkeley@be-just:~$ sudo su

So this might actually be a bug in libc-2.10.1, but it's hard to know if that's the case.

I'm more than willing to provide additional information, but I'm not sure what you need. This never happened before testing Karmic. The first time I tried 'sudo nautilus' I got a longer stack trace, but unfortunately I didn't record it and have been unable to reproduce it.

Ah yes. I did search for duplicates but didn't see any. I'll add my incident to that thread...
