pwc driver fails to work consistently

Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.31-9-generic

When using my logitech quickcam zoom, the first time it is plugged into a usb port it works fine. When I unplug / replug the camera, I am unable to retrieve an image with any program (xawtv, cheese, and messenger prog such as skype/amsn/gyachi).

If I unload the pwc module (modprobe -r pwc), then plug in the camera, it works again without problems.

This bug affects me too and persists in 2.6.31-13-generic.
