Bug Description

Here is the result in gdb :

$ LC_ALL=C gdb empathy
(gdb) run
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
[New Thread 0xb6771b70 (LWP 19262)]

(empathy:19256): libebook-WARNING **: Can't find installed BookFactories

(empathy:19256): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
tp_connection_manager_idle_read_manager_file (data=0x8369ed8) at connection-manager.c:1158
1158 connection-manager.c: No such file or directory.
        in connection-manager.c

At this point, the Empathy's main Windows is open but 100% crashed. Now, I force exit and quit gdb :

(gdb) quit
The program is running. Quit anyway (and kill it)? (y or n) y
Quitting: Couldn't get registers: No such process.

Now, I have
$ ps aux|grep emapthy ---> Nothing

$ ps aux|grep telepathy
146:kusbiste 15034 0.0 0.1 5104 2648 ? S 20:34 0:00 /usr/lib/telepathy/mission-control-5
147:kusbiste 15036 0.0 0.3 12064 6296 ? S 20:34 0:00 /usr/lib/telepathy/telepathy-gabble

But if I receive a message, it gets crazy : it opens and closes itself endlessly every 3 seconds.

I'm using a fresh installed KDE-karmic alpha5 after dist-upgrade, version 2.27.91.1-2ubuntu4

This bug is already reported upstream for the version in ppa :
