[FFE] local node discovery, debconf improvements

The Eucalyptus installer work for Karmic is not quite complete. In particular, it's missing the following pieces:

 * 'euca_conf --discover-nodes', an extension to discover Eucalyptus nodes on the local network and offer them for addition to the cluster. The backend support for this (Avahi advertisements of nodes) is already in place; we just need to write the script changes.
 * The Eucalyptus cluster controller almost certainly needs a couple more debconf questions to make sure it's set up correctly out of the box. (I don't know the details and am relying on the server team to let me know what else needs to be asked.)

I think both of these are very non-invasive: --discover-nodes will only be used if you ask for it, and the debconf questions will only be asked at initial installation time. Steve suggested I file a feature freeze exception request anyway, though.

Right, freeze exception granted. How soon are these changes expected to land?

I've just merged --discover-nodes support. The debconf questions are among the next couple of things on my list.

Marking Triaged/Critical, as it seems Colin has a handle on what needs to be done, and this is release critical for Karmic. Assigning to Colin to ensure that it's on his bug radar.

I notice that this bug is ~2 weeks old, and Colin has been steadily improving the cloud/debconf stuff in that timeframe... Is this bug perhaps able to be closed at this time?

I'll leave that for Colin to decide. Please update accordingly.

I think this is now closeable - local node discovery is done, and we've added a fair amount of debconf configuration. If there turns out to be more to do on the latter, it will be more effectively tracked in separate bug reports.
