Bug Description

Some dialogues take a long time (from a few seconds to a minute) to open. This is not caused by hight load - the system is idle during the dellay. Apps may also become unresponsive while waiting for the dialogue to apear.

Having the system monitor applet enabled could help during the observations.

Apps I can easily reproduce:
Epiphany: Edit -> Preferences
Rhythmbox: Edit -> Preferences
Gnumeric: Open/Save
gnome-screenshot
Open/Save dialogue in some apps (gedit, epiphany, gimp)

Well behaved apps:
abiword

It seems this happens when there are 'gtk-bookmarks' to (slow) gnome-vfs remote servers.

Apps which do not use gnome-vfs, like abiword, were not afected.

This happens only for gnome-vfs items in gtk-bookmarks; mounted remote servers that are shown on the desktop and "Network" do not cause this behaviour.
