Bug Description

Hello,

I'm the author of MP3 Diags: http://packages.ubuntu.com/karmic/mp3diags

I already make available 9.04 and 8.10 repositories at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/ciobi/ but the packages aren't signed and I'm not sure that they work as intended for everybody: though I get the program updated automatically on my own 9.04 64bit installation, and I tell the Ubuntu users to add my repository rather than install .deb files, I received a request by mail to try and get the program backported so it gets updated automatically.

According to the (rather incomplete) download statistics that I get, 9.04 downloads far outnumber the other Linux downloads, so I think it would make sense for Ubuntu users to get the program from Ubuntu, rather than from SUSE.

I think I should add that the MP3 Diags' popularity has seen a dramatic increase in the past weeks, as a result of posts like http://www.ghacks.net/2009/08/20/diagnose-your-mp3-collection-with-mp3-diag/ or http://lifehacker.com/5342197/mp3-diags-scans-and-repairs-your-mp3-collection

Thank you.
