Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-media

This is not a bug. Set it please to wishlist.

I've made some changes in gnome-media package for ease of switching the sound output in cases where you have more than one sound output. Now there is sub-menu in the gnome-volume-control-applet menu where you can choose the current sound output. This is very useful if you have a bluetooth headset. Menu will show up only when there is more than one audio output devices.

I've contacted gnome-media maintainer Marc-André Lureau. He recommended me to register it as a bug on bugzilla.gnome.org, which i did.
Bug:#593752

Also he said that this will not be in the 2.28 because it is in UI/string freeze.
Maybe it is possible to get it into Ubuntu karmic?

Attached patch file with changes made. Just get gnome-media source package, drop patch into package's debian/pathces directory and build it.

Here you can see how it looks in action:

Thank you for your work there, we might consider it for karmic but would be nice to get upstream reviewing it before on the bugzilla ticket
