No Network in the installation and Live CD

I have install Dapper Beta1 on a IBM Thinkpad 390x. The Network-Card is a 3c589D-TP Etherlink III from 3com (PCMCIA)

In the Installationprocess i can use Internet over this NIC, configured with a static IP. When the Computer boot after the installation, the network doesn´t work. The Computer send Packages, but recive packages doesn´t work.

The same Problem is with the Live CD Beta 1 and Beta 2.
The mii-tool doesn´t support this NIC.
