[armel+dove] usplash does not currently work on Marvell Dove Y0 boards

Bug Description

When using usplash on armel+dove, the long only reports chdir: No such file or directory. Further debugging is required. I'll attach more information once I look into this indepth.

With the latest usplash, I get splash screens during shutdown, but not startup. I think there is some initialization that needs to take place that's done by Xorg.

I can confirm that on Y1, an image installed from beta and upgraded still works (running kernel 208.16). The same installed system on Y0 hangs.
