pidgin room list hangs when name (for sorting) is pressed while list is still updating

When I click the name table heading to sort the list of IRC channels in the screen obtain after the command -- /list while it is still updating list, window freezes completely.

I'm confirming this because I've just seen the same thing myself; pidgin 1:2.6.2-1ubuntu5

To be more specific, lets say you are on a big irc network and you open the channel window - in my case
by doing a /list pattern it came up and was populating and I clicked on the name to get it to sort; the whole UI
froze until it had got the whole list (which took over 30 seconds - this was on freenode with zillions of channels)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test a current, supported, Ubuntu version. Thanks in advance

Still does it on 2.0.7-1ubuntu2 on Natty alpha.

Actually, one comment - there is a 'stop' button to interrupt it getting the chat list, but again that took quite a while to appear/do anything.

Have the same problem, with Pidgin 1:2.10.3-0ubuntu1.3 on Ubuntu 12.04.

I think a workaround is to wait for the list to be completely downloaded and then sort. When trying to sort while downloading, Pidgin freezes.
