Bug Description

Binary package hint: notification-daemon

In Jaunty, the notification window appears in the wrong place, halfway down the right side of the screen.

If I run notification-properties and attempt to change the position from "Bottom Right", it has no effect. The preview always appears in the center right of of the screen

Are you actually using notification-daemon, or are you using Canonical's new notify-osd (bug 419894). Notification-daemon has no code for displaying notifications in the middle of anyone's screen.

It appears to be that problem with notify-osd. I was misled by notification-properties being in the notification-daemon package. Thank you!
