Bug Description

I'm using the Ubuntu 6.06 beta 2 live CD. I booted with 1024x768x32 setting. I noticed if I boot with the default setting, my screen goes all white and black in sort of a wave, I don't think it's healthy for the LCD... (I haven't tried booting with default setting in beta 2. I had the problem with ubuntu, kubuntu, xubuntu flight 6 and beta 1.)

I got an error message saying the "Installer crashed".

It told me to come here and file a bug report and include the following:

IOError: [Errno 4] Interrupted system call

I'm using a Sony Vaio VGN-S360. I was updating the system clock since it was off several hours. (I think it's the GMT v UTC issue.) It got the correct time and I clicked to continue and it crashed. It's at the keyboard selection page.

Thanks for detail report - the same problem was already reported by several users, therefore closing as duplicate. See that bug for details/progress.

James: one more thing - can you report to bug 41921 which language, keyboard and timezone you have selected?
