Kopete crashes when trying to configure devices

Bug Description

Using the Live Kubuntu cd beta 2, when I try to configure devices in kopete, the light on my webcam comes on, and then kopete crashes.

To reproduce...
1. Start kopete
2. Cancel the welcome wizard
3. Select Settings -> Configure... -> Devices
You will see a busy cursor, then kopete crashes.

If I unplug the webcam I can enter the devices section of the configuration. However, if I plug the webcam back in, kopete continues to allow me to enter the devices section, but does not indicate that I have a webcam, and lsusb becomes unresponsive. So perhaps this is a sign of a deeper issue, but I don't know.

If there's anything I can do to help just ask.

Thanks.

DETAILS

Hi Brian...you're not alone :-) There's already a duplicate of this bug reported by Craig Sampson...
It's fixed upstream (kopete 0.12 cvs)...we hope that we can include it in dapper or maybe backport the fix in our current package
