Doble check:

"Is this still an issue for you? The issue here looks slightly similar
to bug 292159 but that bug should have been resolved as of casper
version 1.162. Can you comment which version of casper you have
installed?"

I upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10. I no longer have this problem. I consider the problem to be fixed.
