orinoco driver monitor mode not supported

How about installing the fix for "monitor" and "RFMON" mode on the orinoco WiFi cards that is at:

Many people state that the patch works well, and since the orinoco drivers currently in Dapper Beta still don't support monitor mode, it sure would be nice if this patch was applied to dapper before it is released.

There is no RFMON for orinoco anymore, the current working patch is only for kernel 2.6.12 only and acording to the orinoco authors they dont have plans for fixing some bugs in the drivers. The patch for orinoco 0.13 will not work on current or modern kernels unless someone ports it and it seems there isnt any plans to do that.

This bug has had no activity for a considerable period. This is a check to see if there is still interest in investigating this bug report.
Seems like this won't/can't be fixed for this kernel.
