Thanks for taking the time to submit this report. It appears you are running the custom version of Ubuntu Hardy for the Dell-mini. Hence I assign this bug to the dell-mini project.
As I use the same system myself, I didn't have any issues with the update. Can you please try and see if it was only a temporary glitch, by running in the terminal (menu: Applications- >Accessories- >Terminal) :
sudo apt-get update -f
sudo apt-get upgrade -f
Please let us know if that fixes the problem.
