firefox-seamonkey almost freezes,not responding.

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Ubuntu 9.04,all the updates are installed properly,firefox an seamonkey i think the two most used browsers are not working.When i try to open them i need about 1 minute to open to the main page if i try for example to open a new page then....almost freezes for 1-2 minutes and everything is going dramatically slow..

My internet connection speed is at 2Mbps.

I tried the Computer Janitor for non compatible programms i made a clean up,there is nothing working properly know,all the system is going slower...

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one.

You can start the profile manager with the following command:
firefox -ProfileManager

Colin please file another bug report. Now that 10.04 is stable I suggest upgrading to 10.04 as it has the most recent versions of firefox and seamonkey.
