Bug Description
This was originally working under my Karmic install. There have been a lot of updates over the past two weeks, and it has been that long since I tried to print to this printer. I switched it to a USB only cable and am now able to print. I see other bugs here about parallel printers failing so I'm guessing the USB->Parallel cables might be yet another bug.

I can confirm this, using:
Bus 001 Device 007: ID 067b:2305 Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2305 Parallel Port
connected to a HP LaserJet 6L
Attempting to print a test page from the print admin gui results in a permanent "processing" message and no action.
The cups error log is empty.
