Bug Description

The module builds but doesn't insert due to non exporting of find_task_by_vpid in new kernels.

Same problem in fglrx

I can’t reproduce this problem on Karmic amd64, and upstream thinks that the code using find_task_by_vpid should not be compiled at all on recent kernels.

Can you post a log from the build, and a copy of config.log?

Also, are you using the standard Karmic kernel (2.6.31-8-generic)? If not, please provide details of your kernel version and configuration.

I am using 2.6.31-8-generic and openafs-modules-source downloaded today,
also on amd64.

Inexplicably, this time the build produced an insertable module. I must have erred at some point. Closing bug.
