Bug Description
Binary package hint: kino
I have a sony mini Dv DCR-H C53E camcorder and the only way I can get Kino to import video is to give the terminal command "gksudo kino", thereafter I have no problems. If I dont do this when I try to import (capture) the video I keep getting the error message "Warning: Raw1394 kernel module not loaded or failure to read/write/dev..." also the camcorder is not recognized under AV/C device without giving full admin privileges. There is more of a problem as everything is saved under root so you have to fiddle with the settings everytime so that any imported video goes into my home folder for ease of access after I leave root.
