i reported the 'same' bug involved another package: libxfcegui4:
Im using Jaunty.
During the install of some new programs (music players: bluemind, potamus, quark, xfpc and gmusicpalyer) with the add/remove applications the system freezes completely (no error message, just reset hepled). After restart i ran add/remove programs and it worked, till i wanted to uninstall these appications because they did not appeared in my applications menu.
The removal of these programs causes an error messages about broken packages and dependencies.
Add/remove programs is not working anymore (error about the dependencies), synapctic is still runng in the backround, but it makes the same error message.
"sudo apt-get install -f" did not helped and i got this messsage:
