I was upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10. I left the computer and it locked up. Could not get the last revision to boot.

Please look at the other bug report to see if there is any missing information that you can provide, or to see if there is a workaround for the bug. Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug should occur in the other report.

You can create the directory /var/run/chipcard/ in advance to avoid this to happen.

The reason for this bug has been fixed in libchipcard 4.2.8-1ubuntu1.
