launching xfce4 on kubuntu, I get blank desktop!

Bug Description
Hi
I am using kubuntu on dapper. I installed xfce4 & some plugins. I logged out from kde. Chose xfce4 as session type from KDM. I typed my password and logged in. I got the xfce4 loading logo, then a blank greenish screen!!
Nothing was launched. Through CTRL+ALT+F1, I launched xterm, then whenever I try to launch any xfce4-* application like (xfce4-about, or xfce4-panel ...) it crashed immediately with something like (Illegal Instruction)
What's more weird, is that now I am in KDE, and can launch xfce4-* applications!
