Bug Description

Icons of created files are not shown at Desktop (or other folders) using graphics environment (Places > Desktop) but exist searching via Terminal window (ls /Desktop/).

O.S.version: Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha4+updates till 26-Aug-09

Problem is easily reproducible using PrtSc (printscreen) several times and storing files to any directory (Desktop, 'user'/music, etc):

- boot
- at Desktop press "PrtSc" key, and then Save the screen capture to desktop
- repeat above action (print screen) and attend the icons created
>>> 1st or 2nd or 3rd time the 'new file' icon is not appeared
- right click on Desktop and 'Clean up by Name' the same (NOT appearing)
- check Places > Desktop and IS NOT there
- open a terminal window, 'ls desktop' lists OK all files (and missing)
- close terminal window
- press 'reload' button at Desktop - File browser shows all OK

The same problem exists after Downloading more than one file or extracting some files from a .rar file.
NO problem when using Firefox > File > Save as Html to any directory

Above discussed at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1249275 and confirmed by other users.

Ask me to provide more info if needed.

Regards,
George
